LNV - Located in the center of the fertile Kinh Bac plain, Tam Son is an ancient village, a land of "geomantic people". Tam Son belongs to Tam Son commune, Tu Son district (Bac Ninh province), with a history of thousands of years, is one of the villages with the longest history in Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh homeland. This is a typical agricultural village, multi-cropping, multi-occupation, in which the silk weaving profession is famous.
In addition to farming, Tam Son people also develop the profession of growing mulberry, raising silkworms, and weaving silk. The development of agriculture, especially silk weaving in Tam Son, has promoted commercial activities in this village. The center is Tam Son village market, held right at the foot of Cam Ung pagoda on the 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 10th of the month.
Tam Son is not only famous for silk weaving, with the bustling Tam Son market, but this place is also a famous spiritual land as a cultural village, converging the typical values of Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh culture. During the history of existence and development of Tam Son village, many historical and cultural traditions have been inherited and developed over a long period of history such as the tradition of patriotism and revolution, the tradition of studiousness and mandarin examinations, etc. However, some economic and cultural traditions have not been maintained, typically silk weaving, mulberry growing, trading and Tam Son market, which was famous as a trading center of Kinh Bac region, no longer exists.
However, Tam Son has now developed many other cultures that have changed the lives of the people here both materially and spiritually, typically the strong development of the mass cultural and artistic movement. The Tam Son commune mobile information team was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the Government.
